V8 SUPERCARS SAFETY CAR PROGRAM

In 2008 Chrysler’s 300C will continue to revel in its now familiar role as ‘leader of the V8 Supercar pack’, as the official Safety Car provider for the V8 Supercar Championship Series.

The high performance 317 kW, 6.1-litre HEMI® V8 300C SRT-8 leads from the front in the Safety Car role again next year, dutifully serving as the leading light for the popular Series.

Famous for its iconic design and SRT (Street Racing Team) power and performance, the Chrysler 300C SRT8 sprints from 0 to 100kph in just over 5 seconds. Chrysler’s striking rear-wheel drive sedan has received invaluable exposure, on display in front of millions of motoring fans. This is credited, in-part, to driving the car’s runaway sales success.

To further strengthen it’s presence at the V8 Supercar Championship Series Chrysler will also showcase the brand’s growing vehicle range and provide fans with the opportunity to purchase Chrysler and HEMI® merchandise from a Chrysler trailer at key rounds during the season.

The 300C range includes Sedan and Touring models with four engine options 6.1L V8, 5.7L V8 and 3.5L V6 petrol engines and an award winning, state-ofthe- art 3.0L-litre V6 turbo diesel.
These incredible cars play a vital role throughout the V8 Supercar Series.

In its duties as the V8 Supercars Safety Car, the Chrysler 300C will open and close the circuit before and after each race, providing race control with vital information about the circuit. The impressive cars also lead the V8 Supercar field when track conditions require a Safety Car, usually following an accident.
